VILLAGE BARRAZA and SALALA: Land of changos, witness to the history of the formation of Chile as a country, where its parish church, designed by Joaquín Toesca, Chilean National Monument, originally built in 1681. 

Salala Historical place, due to confrontation on February 11, 1817, in the penultimate fight for the Independence of Chile, which meant the beginning of the liberation of the region. February 15, 1817, the patriot forces triumphantly entered La Serena.
